Backpacks for children in crisis

Containing comfort items

Approximately 11,000 children per year in Alberta receive crisis intervention of some kind.

At this moment of intervention, there is a real opportunity to lessen psychological stress; to let the child know, “we care, you are valued, you belong here.” We strongly believe that children in crisis deserve dignity, care, and comfort.

In partnership with intervention services and supply donors, I Belong Bags (IBB) supports vulnerable children and youth by providing duffle bags or backpacks filled with both essential and comfort items.
